A stunning bear which is a scaled replica of the 1908 growling bear produced by Paul Steiff for the Leipzig toy fair in 1908. Now lovingly recreated in the finest long tufted Brown mohair Paul stands 28cm tall and wears a smart gold embroidered deep-red silk bow tie commemorating the years 1908 and 2008. To further commemorate this centenary this hundredth anniversary Steiff commissioned a specialist Giengen organ builder to re-design the growler to produce a softer longer lasting growl. With the traditional gold plated underscored button and white tag with red lettering indicating Paul is from a limited edition of 3000 pieces worldwide.
