Paul the growling bear is a full size 46cm stunning replica of the 1908 growling bear produced by Paul Steiff for the Leipzig toy fair in 1908. Now lovingly recreated in the finest long tufted Golden mohair which has been subtly aged.  To further commemorate this centenary this hundredth anniversary Steiff have commissioned a Giengen wind-organ specialist to re-design the growler to produce a softer longer lasting growl. His magnificent body, head and limbs are filled with traditional Steiff wood shavings and finished with a replica patinated steel plated underscored button. The white tag with black lettering indicating Paul is from a very limited edition of 1908 pieces worldwide.
