Made of the finest quality tufted cream alpaca and mohair this miniature fully jointed Teddy bear is a tribute to Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt, wearing a sand-coloured cotton uniform with a leather belt and a brown hat. The brim of his hat is fixed with the gold-plated Steiff "Button in Ear" The horse is also crafted of exquisite faun mohair air-brushed to produce a fine stallion. His hooves, the handmade saddle as well as the bridle are made of genuine dark brown leather decorated with studs.The horse with his rider is mounted on a wooden pedestal with a small brass plate that bears the inscription "Rough Rider" the famous US volunteer cavalry regiment.

Horse and rider are part of a Limited Edition of 1,858 pieces - commensurate with Teddy Roosevelt's year of birth.
